Experts and Compaq Computer have developed and tested the world’s largest LDAP directory on a single machine with over 85 million entries in one Active Directory. Their test results show that customers can use Active Directory for both managing their Windows 2000 networks and for their most demanding electronic commerce applications. The directory is live on the Internet at http://www.esc.compaq.com/phonebook/ and Compaq has documented the architecture and findings in a whitepaper that is available now from the same site.
